After reading the book The Monk who Sold his Ferrari, by Robin Sharma, I remember thinking at the time that a lot of what was in the book was very basic information, but for some reason when you saw it written down (even if we knew the information all already) it seemed like it reinforced what we already knew.

As a result I started to note down anything that resonated with me that was time, health or happiness related which is how these blogs began.

My Grampa's said many a time before that opportunities will present themselves all the time, it's simply knowing which one's to take. I guess the same can be said for advice.

We’re all given a lot of advice, so it’s a job to know what to listen to and what to let slide.

In a nutshell all the blogs ‘I’ve written’ up to now are simply filtered down versions of the books I've read, notes I've taken from the personal training/chiropractic courses and then general day to day goings on which have helped me over the past few years. As a result, if there are a few bits that do help anyone else along the way - then great!

Finally, just in relation to the name of the blog 86Thousand400 - this came about after listening to a speech given by Stephen Sutton to a group of university students shortly before he passed away.

Within the speech Stephen said the number 86400. To which I thought (having been alive for 28 years), it was quite interesting how I never actually knew how many seconds there were in a day up until that point in time.

As a result I ended up noting down the number and so the idea was that if you saw the number/word 86Thousand400 a bit more regularly it would hopefully make anyone/everyone make a little more out of their day.

Time (we believe) is the most precious commodity we have and as Stephen Sutton’s speech so unexpectedly gave us a p

retty big wake up call back in the day – I truly hope that if any of these blogs open your eyes to anything or help you in any way, shape or form in the coming years then that will #feel like a huge success for us J
