This is when you add positives and quality to your life and not just live on basics. It has a feel-good factor and your life feels rich, productive and fulfilling. Not surprisingly this quality defines happiness to many people.

Reminders of good things - possessed and achieved

Happiness about your self-image is unlikely to be stable if you base it on the Chimp's opinion of what matters. A true self image will be based on how much you are living out your values

Confidence:

Objective is to do your best as opposed to trying to impress people. With this approach one can relax and see any event as an opportunity. Confidence is therefore always at 100%. Remember to reward effort rather than just celebrate achievements

Do my best - Outcome (Good, Okay, Bad) - The human deals with the consequences

Confidence based on ability - (Power to the chimp) - Focus on others and consequences - Anxiety and fear - Variable confidence

Confidence based on best - (Power to the human) - Focus on best - Relaxed and happy - 100% confidence

Confidence: Always TRY your best. You can't dictate the outcome and you can only try your best at that moment in time. The human will deal with the consequences.

Aim of Chimp Paradox: See people become happier, more confident and more at ease with themselves. I hope you can achieve this for yourself too :)
